Services

Autism Support

Practical online support for autistic people and their families — screening and guidance, help after an existing diagnosis, psychoeducation, therapy, and support for parents and carers.

Screening and assessment are not the same thing

PRC offers both, and which one you need depends on where you are starting from.

Screening and guidance is a lower-cost way to explore whether autism may be relevant to your experiences and what would help next. It is not a diagnostic assessment and it does not produce a formal autism diagnosis.

A diagnostic assessment is the full clinical process. It includes relevant questionnaires and supporting information, a feedback appointment and a written diagnostic report. An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis — a diagnostic outcome is a clinical conclusion, not something that can be promised in advance.

If you are not sure which is right for you, a free 15-minute suitability call is the place to start.

How PRC can help

Autism Screening and Guidance

A structured conversation to explore whether autism may be relevant, and clear guidance on what would help next. This is not a diagnostic assessment, and it costs less than one — it is a way to work out whether a full assessment is the right step.

Post-Diagnosis Support

Support for people who already have an autism diagnosis and want help understanding it and putting practical strategies in place.

Parent and Family Support

Psychoeducation and practical guidance for parents, carers and families supporting an autistic child or adult.

What support can cover

Frequently asked questions

Yes. PRC offers a full autism diagnostic assessment, which includes the clinical assessment, relevant questionnaires and supporting information, a feedback appointment and a written diagnostic report.

PRC also offers lower-cost screening and guidance, which is a different thing: it explores whether autism may be relevant to you, but it does not produce a diagnosis. If you are not sure which you need, start with a free suitability call.

Screening explores whether autism may be relevant to your experiences and guides you towards useful next steps. It costs less and is quicker, but it does not reach a formal conclusion.

A diagnostic assessment is the full clinical process that reaches a formal conclusion and produces a diagnostic report. An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis — the outcome is a clinical judgement, and it may be that autism is not the right explanation for what you are experiencing.

Yes. A combined ADHD and autism assessment is available, and it costs less than booking the two separately. It also means you do not go through the same background twice.

Whether assessing both is right for you is something to talk through on a free suitability call.

Yes. Post-diagnosis support is available for people who already have an autism diagnosis and want practical help applying it to daily life. It is a support service and does not provide or revise a diagnosis.

If you want an existing assessment reviewed, that is a reassessment or second opinion, which is a separate service.

Both. Appointments are available online across England, and in person at our Northampton office: Unit F28, Moulton Park Business Centre, Redhouse Road, Northampton NN3 6AQ.

Please tell the team which you would prefer when you book. In-person appointments are by arrangement only, so please do not attend the office without a booked appointment.
