Accessibility Statement
How accessible this website is, what has been tested, what we know is not right yet, and how to tell us if you hit a barrier.
DRAFT — NOT APPROVED
The test results below are real and were measured against the build site on 4 August 2026. What has not happened yet is a manual keyboard and screen-reader review by a person, and automated checks alone are not sufficient to claim conformance. PRC must complete that review, and confirm the contact route and response time below, before this statement is published.
Our commitment
PRC supports neurodivergent people, people with mental health difficulties, and their families. A website that is hard to use would undermine the point of the service. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, and to be honest about where we currently fall short.
What has been tested and passes
- Colour contrast — all body text, headings, notices and buttons meet or exceed AA. Every interactive button was measured against its background.
- Responsive layout — tested at 320, 375, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels wide, with no horizontal scrolling and no content cut off.
- Page structure — each page has exactly one main heading, with headings in a logical order.
- Reduced motion — animation is disabled for visitors whose device requests reduced motion.
- Visible focus — focus outlines are provided for keyboard users.
- Text resizing — the layout uses relative units so text can be enlarged.
Known problems we have not fixed yet
We would rather tell you these than let you discover them.
- There is no “skip to main content” link. Keyboard and screen-reader users must tab through the navigation on every page. The styling for this link exists but the link itself has not been added.
- No manual screen-reader review has been carried out. Automated testing cannot confirm that pages make sense when read aloud.
- No manual keyboard-only walkthrough of the mobile menu, accordions and booking flow has been completed.
- Some pages carry clearly marked placeholder text where PRC has not yet confirmed details. This is intentional, but it may read oddly with a screen reader.
- Third-party booking and form tools have not yet been added, and their accessibility has not been assessed.

PRC will acknowledge an accessibility request within 3 working days, and will provide the information in an accessible format within 10 working days, or explain why longer is needed and agree a date with you. The acknowledgement timescale matches PRC’s Complaints and Compliments Policy.
There is no charge for providing information in a different format, and you do not need to give a reason for asking.
Enforcement
PRC has duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments. If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you are not happy with our response, you can raise it through our Complaints Procedure, or contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
This statement was prepared on 4 August 2026 and last updated on 19 August 2026. It will be reviewed annually, and whenever a significant change is made to the website.
Testing was carried out by the site developer using automated colour-contrast measurement across all text and interactive elements, responsive testing at 320, 375, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels, and structural checks on headings and page landmarks.
A manual keyboard and screen-reader review by a person has not yet been carried out. Until it has, this statement does not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance — automated testing alone cannot support that claim, and PRC would rather say so than overstate it.
