Who we help

Children and Families

If you are a parent or carer looking for help for your child, this page brings together the PRC services most relevant to children, young people and families.

Assessment

Child and Young Person ADHD Assessment

A structured online ADHD assessment arranged with a parent or guardian.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Assessment

An online psychiatric assessment for children and young people.

Therapy and support

Child and Young Person Therapy

Therapy adapted to your child’s age and understanding.

Play Therapy

For younger children who find it hard to put things into words.

Family and Systemic Therapy

Working with the family around a difficulty rather than one person alone.

Support for parents and carers

Information for schools

Where it is appropriate and agreed with you, PRC can provide written summaries to support conversations with your child’s school. What can be shared, and with whom, is always agreed with you first.

Consent and safeguarding

Services for children and young people are arranged by a parent or guardian with parental responsibility. How information is shared between your child, you and PRC is explained and agreed before work begins. PRC has safeguarding responsibilities and will act on them where there is a concern about a child’s safety.

How to get started

If you are not sure which service fits, start with a free suitability and information call. Assessments and medication appointments are not booked directly online — they are arranged with you after that conversation.

Not sure where to start?

Book a free 15-minute suitability and information call. This call is for information and pathway suitability. It is not a clinical assessment and no diagnosis or treatment is provided during the call.
