Existing Diagnosis and Transfer-of-Care Review
For people already diagnosed with ADHD elsewhere who want PRC to review their diagnosis and consider taking over their care.
Before you book, please read this
A transfer-of-care review does not automatically mean PRC will accept your diagnosis or take over your treatment. Additional assessment may be required. Medication is offered only where clinically appropriate. GP shared-care acceptance cannot be guaranteed. Clients may need to continue paying privately for prescriptions, reviews and monitoring.
Who this is for
Adults, children and young people in England who already hold an ADHD diagnosis made by another provider, and who want PRC to review it — whether because their previous provider is no longer available, because they want to move their care, or because they want a considered second view.
What the review includes
- A review of your existing diagnostic report.
- A review of relevant records you are able to provide.
- A clinical consultation to discuss your history and current situation.
- A written outcome setting out PRC's view and what happens next.
- An explanation of any additional assessment that may be required.
What a review does not do
- It does not automatically confirm or accept a diagnosis made elsewhere.
- It does not automatically mean PRC will take over your treatment.
- It does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed or continued.
- It does not guarantee that your GP will accept a shared-care arrangement.
Price
A transfer-of-care review is not itemised separately in PRC’s published price list, because what it involves depends on the records you already have and whether any further assessment is needed. PRC will confirm the fee with you on your free suitability call, before anything is booked.
As a guide, the closest published fees are an ADHD reassessment or second opinion, from £750, and an initial psychiatric assessment at £350. Any additional assessment that proves necessary is charged separately, and medication and pharmacy charges are separate.
