Who can refer
GPs and other clinicians, schools and education settings, employers and HR teams, occupational health providers, and other services supporting someone who may benefit from PRC’s online assessment, therapy or support services in England.
How to make a referral
- Confirm the person you are referring consents to the referral.
- Send a referral enquiry using the contact route below.
- Include only the minimum information needed to route the referral.
- PRC will confirm receipt and explain the next step.
- A suitability conversation is usually arranged directly with the person referred.
Do not send detailed medical information by web form or email
Please do not attach or paste clinical records, assessment reports, medication lists or detailed medical history into a web form or ordinary email. Send only enough information to route the referral. PRC will tell you how to share clinical documentation securely once the referral is acknowledged.
Consent and confidentiality
A referral should only be made with the informed consent of the person being referred, or of a parent or guardian with parental responsibility where the person is a child. PRC will confirm consent directly with the person before proceeding.
What a referral does not do
- It does not guarantee that PRC can accept the person into a service.
- It does not guarantee a diagnosis, treatment or medication.
- It does not transfer clinical responsibility until PRC confirms acceptance.
- It does not create an emergency or crisis route.

No. PRC accepts self-referrals, so a GP referral is not required for anyone to access the service.
A referral from a professional is still welcome and often helpful, because it usually arrives with relevant background. Where you hold reports, letters or records that would help, PRC will confirm a secure route for sharing them once the referral is acknowledged.
No. Acceptance depends on whether PRC’s services are appropriate for the person’s needs. PRC will explain the outcome either way.
Any transfer of prescribing is a clinical decision made after review, and is never automatic. Medication is offered only where clinically appropriate.
