Progressive Recovery Care does not provide an emergency or crisis response. If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent medical advice, contact NHS 111 or attend the nearest emergency department.
Where to get urgent help
999
Call 999 if you or another person is in immediate danger, has seriously harmed themselves, or needs an emergency response now.
NHS 111
Contact NHS 111 for urgent medical advice when it is not a 999 emergency but you cannot wait for a routine appointment.
Emergency department
Attend the nearest emergency department if you need urgent medical attention in person.
What PRC cannot do
- PRC does not provide an emergency or crisis response.
- PRC does not provide urgent or out-of-hours support.
- PRC's enquiry channels are not monitored around the clock, and messages may not be seen quickly.
- Therapy and clinical appointments are not a substitute for emergency care.
Please do not use PRC’s contact form, email or booking system to report an emergency. Use 999, NHS 111 or your nearest emergency department instead.
If you are waiting for a PRC appointment
If things get worse while you are waiting, do not wait for your appointment. Contact your GP, NHS 111, or 999 if it is an emergency. You can also let PRC know that your situation has changed, so that your care can be reviewed — but please use the urgent routes above first if you need help now.

These are the organisations named in PRC’s Safeguarding Adults and Children Policy. They are independent of PRC.
NSPCC Helpline — 0808 800 5000. If you are worried about a child.
Childline — 0800 1111. Free and confidential, for children and young people.
Police, non-emergency — 101. To report a concern where there is no immediate danger.
Forced Marriage Unit — 020 7008 0151.
Your local authority safeguarding team. PRC works with people across England, so the right team is the one for the area where you or the person you are worried about lives — for children this is usually Children’s Social Care or the MASH team, and for adults the Adult Safeguarding Team.
