Parent Psychoeducation
Structured online sessions helping parents and carers understand ADHD and respond in ways that genuinely help at home and at school.
Who this is for
Parents and carers in England supporting a child or young person with ADHD, whether the diagnosis was made by PRC or elsewhere, and whether or not the child is receiving treatment. Support is for you as a parent, and your child does not need to attend.
What sessions cover
- What ADHD is, and what it is not.
- How ADHD shows up differently in different children.
- Attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation and why they are hard.
- Routines, structure and expectations that are realistic.
- Responding to difficult moments without escalation.
- Working with school and other services.
- Looking after yourself as a parent or carer.
What this service does not do
This is education and practical support for parents. It does not assess, diagnose or treat your child, and it does not guarantee any particular outcome. It is not a substitute for clinical assessment or treatment where those are needed.
Price
Parent psychoeducation is £90 per session. There is nothing further to pay beyond the session fee.
How many sessions are useful depends on what you want to cover, and PRC will discuss that with you on your free suitability call rather than asking you to commit up front.
Cancellation: more than 48 hours’ notice, no charge; less than 48 hours, 50% of the session fee; a missed session with no notice, the full fee. Full details are on the Prices page.
